Meet Romeo
I am a gelded 12 year old, formally retired equestrian show jumper. About 7 years ago I had an accident and hurt my foot. I was told I would never jump again, and was put to pasture.
Four years ago, a horse trainer saw me one day in a field and asked my owners at the time if I could join her barn to be a lesson horse. I traveled to her barn and was soon discovered as a great horse for kids. I was known as the horse that gives you confidence because I am pretty chill.
Then Samantha noticed me. She saw me, and I saw her. We instantly were a team - to see my potential and that I was not done in the show ring. I would jump again. She bought me, and we started the journey to healing together; physically and emotionally. Today, we still compete and are always working towards improving my health and our skills together.
I also have another job now. It is to join my owner, Samantha's Equine Integrated Therapy. To be apart of something more. I get to be apart of someone else's path to healing. I get to walk this path with you.
